Although I am not finished, I feel like the end is in sight when it comes to setting up my classroom.  I will admit that I was a bit overwhelmed at first.  When I first saw my room I had hardly anything.  Although, some of my colleagues were kind enough to put books in my room before I arrived because they were unsure of how big of a classroom library I had. I can already tell I’m going to love the people there! 🙂  I think the hardest part was getting through the first day (well, evening).  Once I left my classroom I was able to calm down and think about how much I had accomplished in the first few hours I was there.  That night, I made a list of everything I needed to do (I end up adding a little to this list everyday).  I am very confident that I will have most, if not all, of my list completed by the end of the week. This is good timing! Next week I start back to work! Well, for a few days.  On Monday, we have our first PD before we officially go back to school; Wednesday and Thursday I have my New Teacher Orientation for the district. Yay! 🙂  Tomorrow, my goal is tackle the rest of my the books sitting on those tables! It will happen!
